This topic surely would grow interest. Pools and spas all can seem so similar but they can be so different for a leak detector..

Pools and spas essentially are all so very custom. With varying differences from the distance between the rebar in the concrete in a pool to the type of fittings in plumbing jets or the number of mini lights in a large pool each system has it’s own unique traits to examine. When we do a job we like to know how long the job might take so before going to a job or quoting one we like to get a picture of the pool, spa, fountain system and follow up with a set of questions and maybe some observations to do before we go to a job. The pre job observation can really help jobs go alot better than having a complex system and going through the entire thing without an observation that could really help the process.

When pool systems have other variables that maybe cannot be tested during a service the task can grow tougher and require observation after a job to understand where the leak might be. We love to get observations, but we also know observations can lead us astray. At the heart of finding those tough to locate leaks is getting to work and testing everything in the system. By the time we get the call to test a pool it is common that multiple leaks are going on and not just one leak. This is why when we go to a job we like the pool filled to normal so we can test everything in the system.
